Bedlam Canned Food Drive 2007It’s Time for the Bedlam Canned Food Drive – running now through Nov. 24thNov 9, 2007 - Ok Sooner fans...I talked some Bedlam smack this morning on News Channel 8 and told Keith Taylor that OU would win the Bedlam Canned Food drive again this year (and the game)! OU won the food drive last year by 528 pounds of food, and OSU is chomping at the bit to be victorious this year, so we have our work cut out for us. Canned food items benefit the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and will be distributed to area food kitchens and families for the holidays. Last year, we collected more than 3,000 pounds of food for the food bank and hope to beat the goal this year. Score points for the Sooners by donating canned food items and placing them in the Sooners’ boxes at 1) all Northeast Oklahoma Arvest locations, 2) Fox & Hound Pub & Grille (71st & Garnett) and 3) OU-Tulsa (boxes located across from security at south entrance; inside the main north entrance; building 3 and Student Affairs. It’s easy to drop off cans as you are conducting business or heading to the Fox & Hound to watch the Sooners in action against Baylor, Texas Tech and OSU. Items most needed include canned vegetables, fruit, soup, peanut butter, and other non-perishable items. The OU Club of Tulsa, the OSU Alumni Association and Arvest Bank are sponsoring this event.
